Shirley Preston

It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Shirley Preston on January 1, 2026, at the North Bay Regional Health Center. She is the loving mother of Susan Cameron, Kevin (Kathryn) Preston and Melody (Jonathon) Hawkins. Much loved grandmother of Preston Scott (Sarah), Benjamin, Angela (Josh), Nicole (Derek), Jennifer, Derek, Shannon (Legend), and Nathan, great grandmother of Eva, River, Mable, Viola Brennan, and Chloe. She will be missed by her siblings Elva, Thelma, Elaine and Ronnie (Rita). Shirley is predeceased by her husband Alex, her son in law Gerald and siblings Eldon and Norma. Shirley loved to watch old movies and new all the actors names and even worked at the Blue Bird theatre many years ago. Shirley loved all animals, insects and birds and didn't like to see any of them hurt. Shirley worked for Alex's company, raised her children and was an avid singer. She had the talent to win a singing competition in her younger years but enjoyed singing into her older years. Visitation will be held at Raney Funeral Chapel on Saturday January 10, 2026 from 1-2 with a service to follow at 2 pm. If so desired, memorial donations to the Almaguin Pet Rescue or the North Bay Regional Health Center would be acknowledged as an expression of sympathy.
